PrimaTimber Oy has acquired the share capital of the Swedish company Wood Support Westermark & Säily Ab. Wood Support Westermark & Säily Ab is a Swedish manufacturer of impregnated timber products with main markets in Sweden and Norway. The company exports to several countries. Wood Support Westermark & Säily Ab’s production facility is located in Säffle near Karlstad and it has an office in Gothenburg.
Ownership of the company will be transferred to PrimaTimber Oy on 30 April 2025. The employees will continue to work for the company as old employees. Joni Nousiainen has been appointed as the CEO of the company. The current CEO Jerker Karlsson will be the company’s Deputy CEO with responsibility for the company’s financial management and HR. The current main shareholders Hans Westermark and Jarmo Säily will continue to work in the company and act as the PrimaTimber Group’s sales and purchasing directors in their respective markets.
Wood Support Westermark & Säily Ab’s revenue for the past financial year amounted to approximately SEK 180 million and it employs 13 people.

The acquisition of Wood Support Westermark & Säily Ab increases the opportunities for versatile sawn timber procurement, improved capacity utilisation and logistical cost efficiency, as well as cooperation with the Scanpole Group in our home markets in Finland, Sweden, Norway, the United Kingdom and Ireland. We want to grow in the export market for impregnated timber products,” says Ari Mononen, CEO of the Iivari Mononen Group.
